I am the first person to be involved with Canasis (obviously) but I wanted to be last to keep the focus on the supervisors. It has been several years now, and my commitment to making Canasis the best site for our players remains firm. There have been good times and bad times, but the times were always difficult and challenging. I could not have made it this far without the help of the volunteer supervisors, for which I am VERY grateful. I have been described by friends as a daring small business owner, but I describe myself as a daring soon-to-be-large business owner. I was destined for big things, sounds very optimistic to say it, but without that belief I would not have continued for so long... it is what drives me forward, therefore it is what drives Canasis (my darling) forward.

Loved by the good, feared by the bad. Long time canasta addict who loves games where everyone is concentrating and playing their best. Despite disagreements with Thomas over the use of cheese on anything edible (we all know Thomas is right, without cheese it's nothing), Mizzfuzz can always be counted on for honest opinions and great leadership. She is also known for her willingness to handle situations that seem out of control, where she knows some will be upset with her; all for the good of the site and our players.

She joined the team as the 4th supervisor long ago. She started out with a long way to go and a lot to learn but she had a wonderful, steady, and determined desire to learn that brought her all the way up from beginner to very experienced computer user. Her unusual sleeping schedules were about as insane as Thomas's, but her willingness to devote long hours during the busiest weeks have benefited Canasis immeasurably. She started out good at computers, ended up great, and still anxious to learn more.

An extremely kind person who supervises and always keeps in mind the enjoyment of others even at the expense of her own enjoyment or fame. Her care for not only the site, other supervisors, but also for players (especially Aussies) is never in doubt. Her willingness to try and keep the message board much more than just a place to vent is something any player who knows about league fights would admire. She continues to surprise all of us with her talents and wonderful personality.

I also came here after a bad experience. I wish I could remember who helped me with my very first game. I would give them a GREAT BIG HUG, for having the patience they had with me. They made me LOVE this site. Now I consider this my home away from home. I never played pinochle until it came to Canasis, and now it is my game of choice. I also play several other games here in Canasis. If you want a place to relax, play games with wonderful people then this is the place to be. Have fun and good luck :)

She likes people, and people like her; having a very optimistic and joyous attitude while in Canasis is one very important reason for that. Her original leadership role was the creation of "The Thousand Club", although it did not last in the long run, she was destined for a bigger responsibility as a supervisor. She was the 6th supervisor but after all she has been through, all the things she has learned, she is bound to be around for a long time to come. It's a good thing too, she is a blessing for Canasis.

I have been on a fairly sharp learning curve since that day. Learning about people, countries, cultures, and a lot about computers. Canasta is my first love, but I also enjoy playing Dominoes and Euchre. I have made many great friends in Canasis, and hope to make many more.

My mom and I used to play it all the time. When I first got the internet I played in YaHell, but soon after all the negative people in there I searched the web for canasta and low and behold found this wonderful place. The people here were so helpful and nice I haven't stopped playing since. I have been playing here about 2-3 years. I love it more and more everyday. Other games I enjoy playing are dominoes and spades.

Although I saw it's merits right away (easy to use, great people, clean, and well managed by a group always willing to listen to those who matter - the players), the rest of my group didn't see it that way. It was truly their loss and my gain. I have made many friends here and continue to make new ones every chance I get to play, which isn't nearly often enough!. I've watched as many players have come and gone and come back again (I myself have been on and off and back) but the core values here seem to remain the same - "have fun and do everything you can to enhance the fun of others" and that is what will always keep me loyal to Canasis!

The great WWW picked me up from my quiet life, and gently deposited me on a soft spot in a wonderful place called Canasis. Waiting for me Krsh, Sally, and Nelly, who banded together to welcomed this newbie with happy words and friendly smiles and I was immediately hooked. I am blessed to have as my husband, a man who is my best friend (and he cooks). Recent retirement gives me ample time to "give back" some of love that was shown to me by all of the wonderful people I met here. At a gathering of friends someone asked the question, "when you get to Heaven, what is the first question you will ask?" My immediate answer "Which way to Canasis?"
